Celebrating the 200th Anniversary of Mendelssohn's Birth in Concert

Walenstein Symphony Orchestra will be commemorating the birth of the great German composer, Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847) in concert. Pieces featured will be some of his greatest works, such as Overture to “Fingal’s Cave,” also known as Hebrides Overture, Scherzo from Midsummer Night’s Dream, Symphony No. 4 “Italian” in A Major, and Piano Concerto No. 1 in G Minor, featuring 19-year-old pianist, Christopher Ohanian, 1st year student of Florida Atlantic University. The orchestra will be under the baton of Carlos Riazuelo, Orchestral Director of Florida International University School of Music. Don’t miss out on this spectacular event!
