Danger, Truth Ahead
Seattle boy Sean Nelson is angry, and his words about stupid girls and dumb boys are not minced, making every Harvey Danger experience a passionate ride down lost love lane. His lyrics are smart and get your brain going, and the jams from the rest of the band will make you want to bounce. This is no dumbed down angst-rock about heartbreak platitudes; Harvey Danger is specific about how things should work: "I'd like to go back ten years/And show you a picture of yourself now/But I'm afraid that it might kill you then/You used to be such a loyal friend." The band's performances are always well-attended by hard-core fans singing their hearts out along with Sean and the clean tennis-shoe, plaid shirt wearing 30-Somethings that look around realizing that they have stumbled onto a genuine piece of Seattle, a band that will no doubt continue to stir things up around town.
